Think Your Joy

Think Your Joy – Poetry by Markus Hamence, May 2026

Think your joy before the world can show it.
Feel it before a single reason arrives.
Walk as the one whose heart is already full,
whose days are already blessed,
whose life already sings its sweetest song.

For the joy is not waiting in tomorrow.
It is not hidden in achievement,
nor buried inside distant dreams.
It lives first in imagination,
quietly asking to be claimed.

Think your joy when the sky is grey.
Think your joy when the path seems uncertain.
Think your joy when appearances argue otherwise.
For what you persist in feeling
must one day become your reality.

See yourself laughing.
See yourself thriving.
See yourself surrounded by beauty,
peace, love and abundance.
Not as a wish, but as a memory from the future.

The mind is the garden.
The feeling is the seed.
The world is simply the harvest.

So think your joy.
Feel your joy.
Become your joy.

And watch as life faithfully rearranges itself
to mirror the happiness you dared
to accept as yours first within.
