Life is your canvas –
not some dismissed, random thing to admire and just go with the flow of or take for granted as we stroll along.
But, something that begs for the movement and the thought,
for a colour that refuses to stay inside the lines,
for an idea that questions, pushes the boundaries and provokes a concept.

Throw your bold energy across it and choose your colours well,
your chaos, your calm, your crazy midnight thoughts,
layer it with moments that feel too much –
that’s where the beauty starts to breathe and that is your awareness, that’s your touch.

Not every stroke will come out tidy and neat,
some will blur, some will break, there could be heartache.
But, even the clutter and chaos holds meaning
when you choose to keep creating and to be awake.

So colour it pretty –
not perfect, never safe, nor expected of you,
but real, alive and unmistakably yours.

Life is YOUR canvas.
